Shaft Components

The GEP ECOTECH hexagonal shredder shaft consists of an integrated hexagonal shaft body, bearing assemblies, and sealing protection systems. The hexagonal body ensures tight, uniform blade fixation, improves torque resistance, and greatly enhances the shaft's anti-fatigue and impact-resistance performance. High-strength bearings and multi-layer sealing structures provide exceptional reliability even in harsh operating conditions.

Material Selection

The shredder shaft is made of special high-strength alloy steel, delivering outstanding tensile strength, impact toughness, and wear resistance. Strict material testing and standardized formulations ensure that each shaft offers exceptional mechanical properties, ready to handle heavy loads and continuous operation demands.

Machining Process

The hexagonal shredder shaft is made by forging and modulating for higher material density and internal uniformity. After multi-stage forging and heat treatment, high-precision CNC machining is used to shape the six faces and fine-tune the shaft journals. Surface treatments, including deep heat hardening and anti-corrosion coatings, significantly boost wear resistance and extend service life, even under extreme working conditions.
