AIShred's Advanced Process for Refuse-Derived Fuels from Organic Industrial Waste

93

At present, organic industrial waste generated by industries such as garment, shoe-making, tanning, textile, clothing, leather goods, packaging and plastic products mainly contains high concentrations of organic matter and some heavy metals. The common treatment method is direct incineration, but due to insufficient combustion, it is easy to cause serious secondary pollution and difficult to meet environmental standards. Processing these wastes into homogeneous and easy-to-burn refuse-derived fuels is another treatment method. However, such organic industrial wastes have problems such as poor adhesion and molding difficulties, and the organic matter in them may contain acid and sulfur, which may cause pollution in subsequent processing and fail to meet environmental protection requirements.

To improve on these shortcomings of existing technologies, AI Shred has introduced a new process for the preparation of refuse-derived fuels. This process has excellent adhesive properties and easy molding characteristics, which makes it easier to apply.

The process mainly covers the following steps:

  1. Waste pre-treatment: Organic industrial waste is sorted and screened to remove impurities and non-combustible materials.
  2. Shredding and pelleting: The pre-treated waste is shredded and pelletized to reduce the particle size, increase the surface area and improve the combustion efficiency.
  3. Drying: Remove the water in the waste through the drying process to reduce the moisture content and increase the calorific value of the fuel.
  4. Mixing and blending: According to the composition and characteristics of the waste, different types of organic industrial waste are reasonably mixed and blended to meet the calorific value and stability requirements of the fuel.
  5. Pelleting: The blended waste is compressed and molded into fuel blocks or pellets with certain shape and density.
  6. Quality Inspection: Quality inspection of the prepared refuse-derived fuel, including the determination of calorific value, moisture content, ash content and other indicators, to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and requirements. In the whole preparation process, the following points need to be noted:

Adopt suitable compression molding technology and equipment to ensure the quality and strength of fuel blocks or pellets. Through the above steps, organic industrial waste can be converted into refuse derived fuel, realizing the effective use of resources and environmental protection. Meanwhile, in the actual operation, it is also necessary to carry out reasonable process design and management according to the local regulations and standards, combined with the specific conditions.
