Recently, we often receive inquiries from customers who want to choose a shredder for jumbo bag. Many customers don't know what equipment to use. Today, let's talk about what equipment to use for crushing jumbo bag.
What are Jumbo Bags?
Jumbo bags are flexible transport pckaging containers known for their advantages such as moisture-proof, dust-proof, radiation-resistant, firm and safe structure, and ease of loading, unloading, and carrying. These characteristics make jumbo bags a widely used industrial packaging product. However, when these bags become waste, they are classified as industrial solid waste, necessitating a reasonable disposal method.
Shredders for Waste Jumbo Bags Disposal
Waste jumbo bags typically need to be handled by enterprises with the appropriate treatment qualifications. Generally, these bags are first crushed and then incinerated, with most co-processed by cement kilns. For the crushing process, two types of equipment are generally used: double-axis shearing shredders and single-axis fine shredders.
Double-Axis Shearing Shredder
The double-axis shearing shredder uses two relatively rotating cutters to shear and tear the material. This equipment operates at low speed but with high torque, providing significant shear force, strong crushing power, and an effective shredding outcome. It is capable of cutting larger materials such as waste furniture, sofas, mattresses, plastics, leather, waste home appliances, waste tires, and crop straw into smaller sizes in a single pass. Typically, the output size of shredded jumbo bags is 100-300mm, which is suitable for incineration in cement kilns. However, the specific size required may vary depending on the feeding method of the cement kiln.
Single-Shaft Fine Shredder
The single-shaft fine shredder is used for secondary or tertiary crushing of solid waste to achieve further size reduction. The cyclic cutting mode formed by the "V"-shaped arrangement of moving knives and toothed fixed knives, designed by GEP, can finely crush various industrial wastes. Additionally, with the drop screen, the discharge size can be flexibly controlled to meet the crushing needs under different working conditions.
Choosing the Right Equipment
The specific choice between a double-shaft shearing shredder and a single-shaft fine shredder depends on the requirements of the back-end process. GEP has extensive experience and numerous case studies in the disposal of various industrial solid wastes.
