Client: A large bioenergy company in the Philippines
Client Requirements: Processing approximately 200 tons of various organic raw materials per day, including livestock manure (pig and cattle), bagasse, crop straw, coconut fiber, banana stalks, etc., requiring the finest possible particles for use in a biogas plant.
Configuration Scheme: A two-stage crushing process is adopted: primary crushing (twin-shaft shear shredder) + fine crushing (high-speed hammer mill). This balances processing efficiency and output fineness, increases biogas production, shortens fermentation tank residence time, and converts 60,000 tons of biomass into 3.5 million cubic meters of biogas annually.
Process Flow Diagram: Organic Raw Materials → Chain Conveyor → Twin-shaft Shear Shredder (Primary Crushing) → Magnetic Separation for Iron Removal → High-Speed Hammer Mill (Fine Crushing) → Slurry Preparation → Anaerobic Digester
Customer Testimonial: "We chose this system because we firmly believe that the finer the material is pulverized before entering the digester, the faster the gas production rate. Our material is very diverse, and ordinary equipment struggles to meet both our output and discharge requirements. The twin-shaft shear crusher and high-speed ring hammer crusher we installed, used in conjunction, provide high output and can handle various biomass feedstocks. There are few restrictions on feeding; whatever material enters the system will be thoroughly pulverized. I would strongly recommend this two-stage pulverization process to other biogas plants." — Ramon Garcia, Technical Manager, Philippines Project

In today's rapidly developing biogas industry, the efficiency and reliability of the pretreatment stage directly impact the overall project return. GEP ECOTECH's twin-shaft shredders, hammer mills, and other equipment are helping an increasing number of biogas plants worldwide achieve stable biomass pretreatment.
